KUMHO

What is Covered?

  • The new original usable tread has worn down to 1.6mm (2/32nd) remaining (i.e., worn down to the top of the built in indicators in the tread grooves), 5 years from the date of installation by a customer provided that the date of purchase is within 5 years of the manufacturing date, any Kumho tires covered by warranty becomes unusable due to a material or workmanship condition.
  • Warranty only applies for Philippine purchase and proof of purchase is required.

Who is Eligible?

  • Kumho Tire warrants to the original consumer purchases of all Kumho radial tires directly or through an authorized Kumho Tire dealer.

Replacement Charges

Pro Rata

  • If a Kumho tire fails as a result of workmanship or material defect for passenger radial tire, pro-rated replacement will be applied.
  •  To obtain the credit percentage, please utilize the following example: CREDIT = P x (R.T.D. – 1.6mm) (O.T.D. – 1.6mm) -P: Purchasing Price from Kumho New Tire *tax and expenses not included -R.T.D.: Remaining Tread Depth on the Defective Tire -O.T.D.: Original Tread Depth on the New Tire

After First

  • After the first 10% of original tread wear, no adjustment is provided for out-of-balance or out-of-round conditions. Warranty coverage continues based on material or workmanship defects only.

What is Not Covered?

  1. Tire damage or irregular wear due to
    1. Road hazards such as punctures, cuts, snags, scuffs, carcass bruised, stone drill or tread chipping/hacking, impact breaks.
    2. Improper inflation, overloading, high speed spinning, improper mounting or demounting, running flat, off-road use, racing, vandalism, willful damage or abuse.
    3. Improper use or operation, without limitation, improper inflation pressure, overloading, use of an improper rim, vehicle misalignment, tire/wheel assembly imbalance or de-mounting, misuse, misapplication, fire or other externally generated heat, water or other material trapped inside the tire during mounting, tire alteration, improper inserting of sealant, balance or filler materials.
  2. Any tire worn beyond tread-wear indicator (1.6mm or 2/32nd tread remaining).
  3. Ride disturbances caused due to3. Ride disturbances caused due to
    1. Damaged wheels or flat spot while immobile.
    2. After the first 1.6mm (2/32") tread wear.
  4. Tire used in racing related activities or competitive events.
  5. Loss of time or use, inconvenience, or any incidental or consequential damage.

How to Make a Claim?

  1. Present the defective tire to a KUMHO authorized dealer.
  2. Accomplish the receiving documents that our authorized dealer will present to you.
  3. Present proof of purchase.

Conditions & Exclusions

  • This limited warranty does not provide compensation for loss of time, loss of use of vehicle, inconvenience, or consequential damages.
  • Tires presented for claim remain the property of the consumer and Kumho accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to tires not inspected by an authorized retailer for warranty adjustment.
  • No Kumho representative, employee, or retailer has the authority to make or imply any representation, promise, or agreement which in any way varies the terms of this warranty.
  • All warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification of coverage eligibility.
  • The warranty period is calculated from the date of installation, not the date of manufacture.
MICHELIN

What is Covered?

  • Michelin motorcycle and scooter tirevehicle on which they
    were originally fitted and in accordance dations and safety
    warnings contained in the attached owner'by this limited warrantv
    against defects in workmanship and materilife of the original usable tread or SIX years from date of purchase, whichever occurs first.
  • Replacement will be made in accordanconditions described under
    "How replacement charges are calculated",
  • The "Legal life of the tire" is SIX life of the "usable
    tread" which is defined as the original twel of the tread wear
    indicators - 1.5mm of tread remaining, whichever occurs first.
  • The date of purchase must be documention or tire sales
    invoice.
  • If no proof of purchase is available, as molded on the sidewall,
    will be used.

Who is Eligible?

  • This limited warranty is extended to the first retail purchaserof the tire, or the original owner of the motorcycle/scooter fitted with Michelin tirres as original equipment.

Replacement Charges

Pro Rata

  1. Workmanship/Materials Tread Depth Calculation: The tread depth of a tire is measured at the center-most groove of the tread where the tread-wear indicator is located.
  2. UP TO 50% WORN - A Michelin motorcycle or scooter tire that becomes unserviceable due to a condition covered by this workmanship and materials limited warranty will be replaced with a comparable new MICHELIN tire, free of charge, when the tire is within the first 50% of original usable tread depth wear. The cost of mounting, balancing and the other service charges, disposal fees, or applicable taxes are payable by the customer.

After First

  1. AFTER 50% TREADWEAR - When more than 50% of the original usable tread depth wear is used, you must pay the cost of a comparable new MICHELIN motorcycle or sooter tire on a pro rata basis. The retailer will determine the charge by multiplying the current dealer-selling price of the tire (in effect by the time of adjusment) by the percent indicated in the Michelin Warranty Adjustment Chart. You pay the cost of mounting, balancing and any other service charges and applicable taxes

What is Not Covered?

  1. Road hazard injury. Curbing or spinning including, but not limited touncture, cut, impact break, bruise, bulge, snag, stone drill, etc.
  2. Improper mounting or dismounting of the tire/wheel imbalance or repair.
  3. Improper use of operation, including, but not limited to, improper implation pressure, overload, use of an improper rim, vehicle misalignment, improper brake adjustment, worn suspension components, misuse, misapplication, negligence, accident or vandalism, chemical contamination, fire or other externally generated heat, water or other material entrapped inside the tire during mountingcing or use in competition or other abuse.
  4. Flat spotting caused by improper storage of break lock.
  5. The addition of liquid, solid or gaseous materials other than air, nitrogen or carbon dioxide (for example, water-base sealers or balancing substances);
  6. Ozone or weather checking after 48 months from DOT
  7. Tires with less than 1.5mm of original usable tread depth remaining or more than 6 years from the date of purchase.
  8. Continued use while run flator severely under inflated.
  9. Tires use on a vehicle fitted with a trailer.
  10. Ride disturbance claims submitted after the first 1.5mm of original tread wear.
  11. Condition cause by improper storage.
  12. Costs of mounting, balancing, wheel removal and installation (unless otherwise specified) following prorated replacement or repairs or tires and tubes, and applicable federal, state and local taxes.
  13. Claims of irregular wear.
  14. Tires that have been retreated, re-grooved or modified in any fasion;
  15. No tire will be considered for warranty adjustment for any reason after 6 years from the date of purchase.

How to Make a Claim?

  1. When making a claim under the terms of this limited warranty, you must present your tire(s) to a participating Michelin motorcycle/scooter retailer. The vehicle on which the tires were used must be available for inspection.
  2. Personal identification and vehicle registration may be required. You pay for service charges for normal wear and tire maintenance. See Conditions and Exclusions section pertaining to all limited warranties listed in this booklet.

  2. Tires presented for claim remain the property of the consumer and Michelin accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to tires that are in the custody or control of a Michelin retailer for the purpose of inspection for warranty adjusment. Tires accepted for claim become the property of Michelin Asia (Singapore) Co. Pte. Ltd. Philippine Branch.
  3. In the event of disputed claim, the consumer must make the tire available for further inspection.
  4. No Michelin representative, employee or retailer has the authority to make or imply any representationm, promise or agreement, which in any way varies the terms of this.
DOUBLESTAR

What is Covered?

Who is Eligible?

  • Doublestar Tire warrants to the original consumer purchases of all Doublestar radial tires directly or through an authorized Doublestar Tire dealer.

Replacement Charges

  2. Any tire worn beyond tread-wear indicator (1.6mm or 2/32nd tread remaining)
  3. Ride disturbances caused due to a. Damaged wheels or flat spot while immobile. b. After the first 1.6mm (2/32") tread wear
  4. Tire used in racing related activities or competitive events.
  5. Tire which have been repaired.
  6. Ozone or weather cracking on tires over four years from date of manufacture.
  7. Loss of time or use, inconvenience, or any incidental or consequential damage.

How to Make a Claim?

  1. Present the defective tire to a DOUBLESTAR authorized dealer
  2. Accomplish the receiving documents that our authorized dealer will present to you.
  3. Present proof of purchase.
